You can flip a bottle when it has more than 1 or 2 shots left, but it just 
gets harder and harder to do so without spilling as you flip with more liquid 
in the bottle. 
For example, You can easily flip a Malibu bottle if it's anything less than a 
1/4 full (the magic of centrifugal force) but this won't happen often during a 
night so I'd definitely agree that looking up working flair is a better bet.  
Plus,  working flair (when it is skilfully done) can be much more impressive 
IMO
