Liquor availability varies greatly from one location to another. Without
knowing where you are from, it would be impossible for anybody to provide you
with a good answer to this question.

Here in Washington State, all liquor sales are controled by the state run
stores, and all stores are supplied from the same overall "list" of products.
Different stores will "specialize" in different types of products, so there is
still a reason to go to one store over another, but in general most of the
products are equally available.

Cachaca used to be impossible to find here in WA as little as two years ago,
but now, almost all of the stores carry one, if not two different brands. And
it is starting to show up in various bars as well, although often the
bartender doesn't know what to do with it.

If you ever see Cachaca behind a bar, ask the bartender if he knows who is
supplier is, that might help you track down how you can buy a bottle.

You might also want to check with your liquor store to see if they carry any
products from the Sazerac company (sazerac.com/products.html">http://www.sazerac.com/products.html), they
import one of the popular brands of Cachaca, and if your liquor store/supplier
carries one of their products, I would expect that they should also be able to
get ahold of Cachaca. You might want to take a printout of the products page
listed above with you, and point it out to your supplier to help the
conversation get beyond the "Huh?" stage.
