I use a culinary syringe and inject the melon all around the top just as I 
would a joint of beef.  This distributes the alcohol evenly.  I then pack the 
melon in ice overnight and the alcohol absorbs in.  Don't use cheap vodka - 
use Finlandia because it's the smoothest and made with spring water.  You 
don't even taste the alcohol in the melon,but you do feel it.
