This has been bothering me as well lately. The bar where I work has a 5oz
glass and an 8 oz glass. I was told to use the 8 oz glass for call drinks.
The owner also requires us to pour into the jigger then into the glass, it's a
1 1/4 oz jigger. The other day a fella ordered a Crown and Water, I put the
jigger in and he says "if you fill that with water, I'm walking out of here".
Technically, even full of ice, it would be 5 oz of water/coke/7/ whatever, I
find that far too diluted.
Also, made a washington apple the other day, crown, apple schnapps I was
supposed to charge 8 bucks for 2 1/2 oz of alcohol? I dunno, a drink is a
drink, we charge 6 bucks for a double shot....I am somewhat confused myself.
