There is another Gin Cosmopolitan from "Pioneers of Mixing Gin at Elite Bars
1903-1933," by American Traveling Mixologists, 1934

Cosmopolitan

    * Jigger Gordons Gin
    * 2 Dashes Cointreau
    * Juice of one Lemon
    * Teaspoon Raspberry

Glass No. 4 Shake and strain

The version you have seems to be a variant of the above drink, which was
listed in the Daisies section of the book.

Daisies are basically Sours with added redness, and a few dashes of orange
liqueur (depending on the type of Daisy, of which there are two distinct
types); That pretty much sounds like a Cosmopolitan (cranberry for added
redness, etc).

Hope this helps, I will look into this guy you name as being the creator, but
unless it was before 1934 then it is unlikely to be them.

Cheers!

George
