Subject: I hate the grill

I suppose I am just here to vent, but I hate having to grill food and bartend
at the same time. The other day I had a full bar and 4 full tables and I got
4 food orders all at once. You have to leave the floor, go to the kitchen,
cook food, and make sure the bar is taken care of all at the same time. What
is worse, is I guess people don't realize they should tip like it's a
restaurant, but they don't. I cook, serve and clean up their food just like
any other restaurant does, along with serving their drinks. I suppose my main
goal is to gain more bartending experience and head somewhere that doesn't
have food.
I clean an hour before the bar opens, and clean an hour after my shift ends
for the lousy $5 an hour base pay, and what is really embarrassing is this day
shift usually only turns up between 5 and 20 bucks tips for the whole shift.
Does this sound like WAY too much work for the money? The baby dolls that
work the night shift do the same thing, but they make over 100 in tips for the
same number of hours that I work.
