>So I went to the "Bartending Academy" and graduated last
Most of the ones I see advertised say they offer job placement to graduates.

Showing up when your supposed to willing to work is probably the main
thing.Knowing their costs and controling them comes second.(don't over pour or
give away product)
You don't need a lot of knowledge to be a bartender. Most of what you face in
most bars is gin and tonic, scotch and water ect. However the more you add to
your knowledge the better bartender you will become.
Most bartenders don't make a lot of money. The way to make more money is not
to ask for a raise but build your customer base.
As far as finding a job go to everybar and ask about any opening.ONe web site
I would recommend is hcareers.com , no fees ,no spam,no adds, just a large
searchable job base.
good luck!
