This issue has been worrying me for a while - I have a few bottles in my
collection which have been hanging around for at least 6 months - including
Kahlua, and a 1 year+ old bottle of baileys.
After spotting this thread the other night I thought it was time to bite the
bullet and see how bad the damage was. I was pleasantly surprised to find both
the Kahlua and Baileys in fairly good condition...
I was worried the Baileys would have curdled or something - gone green and
mouldy even - but it seems to have suffered only slightly, with a more
chemical alcahol taste than it should have.
I think the Kahlua is possibly going the same way - but this may have been my
imagination. It certainly tasted OK when mixed in a White Russian.
One thing is for sure - I will be drinking them up before they get too much
older. I dont want to tempt fate.
PS: My 1 year+ old bottle of Peach Schnapps tastes the same as it did the day
I bought it. Awful.
