I agree with you lulu and I know most places would be happy to call a cab for
anyone. I work in an upsacle nightclub serving 100's of people a night and the
reality is 99% of these people will leave legally intoxicated. Remember that 3
drinks will put you over the legal limit. The law (in Illinois anyway) states
that it is illegal to serve an intoxicated person. Now if this law were
enforced it would put every bar or tavern out of business. It is just simply
not practical. There aren't enough cabs in the city!
BTW. I do see quite a few designated drivers, but not enough to appease the
puritans.
