I've had jobs like that begore too then I quit and found another.
You have to find a place where the bartenders are making good money and maybe
take a cocktail or server position then work your way up. The problem is that
the good places have a low turnover for good reason. Another idea is apply at
a place just opening.
Just know that there are all types of bars in America and sometimes you can
make more money at a dive than an upscale place.
There are a ton of things I could tell you, but I think the best thing I've
learned throughout the years may sound strange to you now, but workd for me;
when you get your mind off the money and just give people great experience,
then the money follows.
