I assume most municipalities have ordinace regarding alcohol service.
Everywhere I've ever worked has. TIPS is a big one. RASS (Responsible Alcohol
Service *Something) is another. I have had police routinely come in to check
licenses. It is not seriously enforced or regulated, but I think it's a good
idea if for nothing else than to keep us bartenders aware of the severity and
consequnces of over-serving as well as our liability.

Good gig BTW for burnt-out bartenders is become an instructor.
