Is it good or bad to have a Almond flavor(Orgeat syrup) inside the Mai Tai?
Is it good or bad to have a Apricot flavor (Amaretto) inside the Mai Tai?  
Is it good or bad to have a Bitter orange flavor ( Orange Curacao) inside the 
Mai Tai?


What does Amaretto do to the rum? does it make the rum taste like "apricot 
kernel rum"?

What does Orgeat syrup do to the rum? it makes the rum taste like "almond 
sugar rum"?

What does Orange Curacao do to the rum? it makes the rum taste like " bitter 
orange rum"?

Whats the difference between a molasses based rum VS a Caribbean based rum?

Trader Vic uses a 17yr old Wray & Nephew 

Wray & Nephew "ingredient substitution"
1.) golden rum with a dark rum to get a similar flavour
2.) Mount Gay XO 
3.) Appleton V/X 
4.) Goslings Gold 

What is so special about this Donn Beach mai tai version? any special syrups 
or special mixes or something?
