I just finished a very entertaining Bartending book written by Ty Wenzel.
(Her life as a Bartender in the Big Apple).
She writes about how she would always tip an extra $20 over and above her tips
to the bartender and the bartender would "would return the favor" when he/she
visited her bar.
She calls it the "floating $20". How many of you "float $20" when you are at
another bar?
Do you tell the bartender you are in the trade as well? Sounds like Ty always
announced it to get better drinks, service, etc.
