Also: if it was a "training shift" you could/should have made nothing at all 
(in addition to the hourly pay).

My guess is that you were an extra barback as a trainee and the barbacks split 
the tips equally and included you. If this is the case, you should count your 
blessings and it's the other barbacks who should be bitching.

The number of barbacks doesn't influence the amount that the bartenders tip 
out--10 or 15 or 25 percent of our tips is the same whether it's split 2 ways 
or 20. It's not like we give EACH barback 10 or 15 percent.
