Averna is one of those after dinner digestif liqueurs that has to be drunk
neat, or on the rocks, you don't necessarily have to mix with something else,
it is a bitter ( amaro) indeed but not an aperitif bitter like Campari.
My suggestion :
drink it with plenty of crushed ice.

How do I pour? What is 'cl', 'oz' and 'pt'? How should I handle glassware?.
