Yeah, the POS is something you can definitely only learn on the job. There's
so many different types, and they're ALL very different. I'm curious why the
big boys like Micros, Aloha and Squirrel don't create online "trainers" to get
people up to speed on the basic functions. Actually, back when I first started
developing BarSim, I approached Aloha (the other two companies never responded
to my inquiries) and wanted us to pay THEM to integrate such a tool into our
software.....oh well.

As for the BarSim music, I have to smile a bit when you mentioned it. That was
a process! At first, I had looked into traditional licensing, but even the
crappiest of songs would have been $2000-5000 each per year. So I hit up
MP3.com back when it was more of a forum than anything (in 2001 I think) and
got a bunch of bands/artists that swapped the rights to use their songs in the
program as long as I displayed on the site and in the program the song title,
album and artist. You wouldn't believe how many responses I got, they were all
very cool about it. Anyways, I don't want to piss any of them off and give you
the tracks directly, but on this page there's links to all of the bands in
there, and I'm sure you can get most of them directly from their own personal
sites: http://www.barsim.com/music.htm
