I agree, what exactly is the point of all this crap?

Adam has North African ancestry, so therefore he seeks to prove that Orgeat 
and Grenadine are North African. Why?

They make drinks in India with a almond syrup type thing. Sarbat I think it is 
called.

Quite frankly, if the Indians did not have lots of good uses for Almonds then 
why  would anyone bother to export them? 

Syrup flavoured with Almonds is a no-brainer. Syrup flavoured with Pomegranate 
juice is also a no brainer. 

Basically: any fruit mixed with fruit of some sort = no brainer. 

no brainer=something you don't even have to even think about, because it is so 
easy/ obvious.
