I always recommend the private clubs - they're really good places to get your
feet wet, so to speak. The drinks are simple, and the pace is slow, and
they're much more willing to take newbies. Try the VFW's, Legions, Moose,
Elks etc. Just go in and put in an application, they rarely advertise. Plus
the hourly rate is pretty decent. Good luck.
