There are a couple things that I would addd to what cody, bippo, and chance 
have said.

No. 1. Reps have bosses. these bosses want results. One of the results is how 
many places have their product, and then how many places are ordering more 
product after the promos. They are granted certain liberties (i.e. promos) to 
achieve these goals, so that is what they care about. It's not about helping 
you its about helping themselves. (this is not a negative comment). Take as 
much advantage as you can, but play ball. a lot of the new products are geared 
towards the type of people who frequent clubs, think hypnotic, flavored 
vodkas, etc. For you this works out. Just don't take the awful crap like tatto 
rum(?) or phillips flavored whiskey.

No. 2. Like cody was saying about competing reps not trying to replace each 
others products, this is because they are often peddling the same products. 
It's all about market share.
