Currently working at an upscale 'chain' hotel downtown that has a decent sized
bar (3 bartenders/barback/4 servers on duty usually). I enjoy it mainly
because the people I work with are fun, the money is good, benefits are good
but the downside is that it is a huge bureaucracy, with alot of management and
policies, orientation, regular bs trainings about hotel standards/meetings and
people with their heads up their asses that are not truly understanding about
the bar operations making the rules. It offers little creativity in regards to
making drinks from what I have seen.
