If it's just what you say, why would they hire 8 bartenders!!!???? Most
places I worked at had 2 - 4 tops.
I strongly suggest a VFW or American Legion, Elks, Moose. You can get some
really good behind-the-bar experience at those places and the hourly rates are
pretty good. They're very forgiving of mistakes, and most, like where I work,
have function halls where they have weddings, birthday parties, auctions, etc.
The drinks are simple, you're more apt to make a couple 'classic' cocktails
(the older vets really appreciate well-made martini's and manhattans). I work
two days a week at a VFW, and between my tips and my hourly rate, I average
about a hundred a day. Something to think about.
