They expect you, the bartender to get liability insurance?  Liability against 
what, overserving?  Your TABC certification covers their ass against any 
liabilities, that should be enough.

What sort of venue is this, just a reception hall or whatever?  Are they 
providing the booze, or are the hosts?

Something isn't right about this - your TABC covers any and all liability 
issues in the state of TX, if you have that, they effectively have no legal 
worries.
