First off, if you let any of your potential employers know that you're only
going to be around for 1.5 months, they're simply not going to hire you.
Second, from the sounds of things, you don't have any industry experience, so
you may burn up a good amount of time just finding a restaurant/bar job.
Third, corporate joints generally have a fairly extensive training period -
sometimes up to two weeks. So by the time you get the job, start training
(sometimes up to a week after being hired) and then get through training,
you're looking at maybe a couple weeks of tipped employment - the rest will be
minimum wage (or less, depending on where you are). Not to mention, you're
going to be applying for a job just before the busier summer season, so
although places are hiring, the shifts aren't going to be there yet, and
you'll be competing against the mobs of college kids that DO have industry
experience and are looking for summer work.
