To work (competently) in a brew pub, you not only should know more than just
the basics of beery (the types, flavor profiles, what makes them special, etc)
you should also have an excellent understanding of that particular brew pub's
beers. But I'm sure each place has their own special training in regards to
this.

I know in Oregon, most brew pubs also have a full bar, so knowing how to make
basic cocktails would also be requried.
