Do you think she is lacking experience and trying to hide it by claiming she
was doing everything? Whatever the reason, I would approach her and offer to
take her under your wing and help her get up to speed. Be genuine about it
and don't talk down to her, it would only make her defensive. Look at it this
way, this is your opportunity to mold your work partner, not to build
animosities. Tell your manager what your doing, that way you are making the
problem known without attacking the new person. There's not a manager out
there that doesn't love someone that wants to TRY to work with others. Plus
that, if this all falls to shit later on, your manager would be more likely to
believe you when you say "I don't think this girls going to work out."
Especially when you put effort into helping her. Sounds crazy I know but it
