What makes a good bartender? I think this depends on the type of bar you work
in. There are soooooooo many types of bars in the modern world of drink. The
way you tend bar in an upscale bar most certainly is not the way you tend bar
in a roadhouse. I have to adjust my style in every bar I work.

This idea that you're only a good bartender if you make all handmade cocktails
with the best and freshest ingredients passed down with the divine guidance of
famous bartenders of past is hogwash. Personally, I think it's awesome what my
peers at "The Museum of the American Cocktail" have done to preserve this
information, even if 80% of them have never tended bar in the real world for a
living. I applaud and support their efforts however. But it is not the measure
of the best bartender you can be.

How do I pour? What is 'cl', 'oz' and 'pt'? How should I handle glassware?.
