One of the things that bugs me about my barbacks is that they don't replenish
my shot glasses often enough on the weekends. I work with another tender who
has a station right next to the dishwasher area and they replenish her before
they replenish me. So I have to yell for shot glasses and then they bring me
hot ones. If I go over to the other tender's station there is a plentiful
supply of shot glasses that are NOT HOT! This is mainly becuase I have a group
of people who come in most evey weekend who drink shots all night long so I
run out of glasses faily easily. I would think that the barbacks would catch
on but they just don't. On top of that I think I'm tipping them out pretty
high at 30% of my tips so I expect them to be on it, but they aren't. And
that's not the only complaint.......but it hasn't changed in over a year so I
just live with it and yell for stuff all night.

I think I've decided to give them a list of things that they need to pay
attention to and if they don't follow it or I run out of things then I'm
telling them that the tip percentage will be lower. They are a little arogant
about money so it might motivate them. There is no reason they should be
walking out there with anywhere from $80-$120 depending on how busy we are if
they didn't do their job properly.

Am I expecting too much?!

Cheers!
Lucy
