Greetings everyone,
Last Friday, I mailed 16 letters with a photograph to bars/nightclubs/lounges
here in Ann Arbor, MI.
The next day, I got an offer to work the 9 p.m- 3:00 A.M shift. Very busy,
but nothing I couldn't handle.
The place is called the "Millenium Club". A big establishment with 4 bars on
3 floors. Big crowds, live music. The owner seems nice, and the staff was
helpful. They've asked me to come back this Saturday same time.
The hourly pay is $10.00 hour to start + tips. For 6.5 hours of work last
Saturday, I made $112.00 (65 from hourly, 47 from tips)
I'm very cautious about this recent success. I want to work very hard, be
humble, and be thankful. In no way will I get a big head over this.
But does anyone have any advice/ tips? Things to beware of, things to be
happy/sad about? The right attitude to have being the newbie bar-back?
Thanks so much!!!
Lavafish.
