Hey my name is Mike from NC. I believe the law started after prohabition
repealed. SC being firmly in the bible belt wanted to control the size of a
shot. National average then was 2oz., so they mini bottled at 1.7oz (by the
way a dream for those that do inventory). The national average is 1.25oz now,
so SC was pouring the largest shot in the country.
This entire region is screwed, NC just started allowing over 6% beer and it is
illegal to have happy hour specials. And the kicker... You can get a DWI
riding any animal except a horse.
