Hope your party turned out all right. 
I don't care how you get your keg home, it will be foamy if you tap it right 
away. I always buy my kegs the day before and put them on ice over night. 
Leting them settle lowers the internal pressure,hence no foam.  Do not tap it 
until you are prepared to drink it. Also the first few draws will be under 
higher pressure,(from the bottling process) so no pumping is needed. As the 
keg empties it will take more and more pumps to keep the correct flow. Pump 
the tap only while the spigot is open. This keeps the beer from getting 
shocked from a sudden presure change.
