Just about every state with a sales tax deals with a tax structure like this,
but with yours being 5% it's pretty easy to handle, and lower than the tax in
states such as California or Washington. I agree with Natrone, figure out a
nice even price that includes the tax, and charge that - then, you can just
figure your sales, and pay the 5% tax out of the total, unless of course the
state requires line by line documentation.
Dealing with pennies is definitely a pain in the ass......
