hmmmm, I think this one may be stretching it.  They are close but not the same 
thing.  Would you consider a vodka martini and a gin martini the same thing? 
They have similer recipes, but they are not the same drink.  I think you would 
have better luck relating a daiquri and caipirinha as sours; I.e.  Rum Sour, 
Cachaca Sour, Wiskey Sour, Midori Sour.  I think a lot of "purists" might have 
trouble with calling a caipirihna a Daiquiri... 

Now I have the horrible image of a frozen strawberry whiskey sour in my head.  
Thats just something I didn't need to live with today.
