i have worked as a doorman, bouncer, barback and bartender. Fake id's have
gotten hard as shit to tell fake from real. I work the door and bartend in a
college town so i have lots of kids everynite trying to fake me. First i
require 2 forms of id. Drivers liscense and college id, credit card, social
security card. Than i blacklite it. Than i scan it threw a id scaner. That
is an awsome device. Get the LCB to give you one of those. They are handheld
you swipe the id and it tells you the age and if it expired or not. Most
fakes wont scan. However there are some websites in Canadia that will make
ID's that do scan so you have to check for blacklite image too. However if
the Fake works in the scanner normaly the have the blacklite image on them
aswell. Ask to see another from of id. Dont be afraid to refuse them service.
I am sure that i have turned away many people that are of age just cause i
didnt think they were and they didnt have the second id to back it up. It's
better to lose out on a couple of patrons than it is to lose the bars liquor
liscense. Also Check duplacates if they have more than 3 dups i refuse
service regardless of weather it is the person or not. Also Maine, Rhoad
Island, New York and old New jersey ID's are the easiest to fake and the most
common fake id's. I have a policy that i will not execpt old NJ Maine or
Rhoad island ID's unless they have 2 picture id's and they can recite the all
of the information on there id's. Dont be afraid to be a dick. If it is there
real id they will be annoyed but after you explain the fines and jail time you
face they understand
