Subject: New: Elderflower Vodka infusion

The essence of elderflower has a very unique, floral character that is
difficult to describe. Some have compared it between "dandilion" and
"vanilla", but you'll simply have to judge for yourself.

Preparation: Select 1 liter of your favorite vodka. Add to this 4 tsp. of
dried elderflower. These dried blossoms are quite small; a ball type infuser
or unbleached tea bag will save you lots of straining trouble. Infuse for 1-3
days in a glass vessel to taste (the longer, the stronger). Expect a very
brillient color of yellow. Note that 1/4 cup of sugar is optional should you
want to produce more of a dessert shot (this latter pairs extremely well with
a garnish of ripe strawberry).

As for those dried elderflowers... if you can't get them from the wild,
they're available through a number of on-line herb and natural products
retailers.
