Bartending schools have been talked about countless times on this form. Do a
quick search and you'll find literally hours of reading material with all
points of view covered, from bartending school grads to instructors, etc, etc.

However, commenting on the claim your particular school made - having trained
and managed my fair share of bartenders, I can tell you that there is no
possible way that a two week course would equal two years on the job
experience. All bartending school does is give you a knowledge base, and a
little head start on some of the hands on aspects, but nothing compares to
experience. I'd hire someone with only six months experience and no school vs
some rookie fresh out of bartending school.
