you could try replacing the rum with tuaca. the first time i tried it i was 
with a few friends and we all thought it was some kind of rum with extra 
flavors we could make out vinalla and suger but that was it. 

it is made with brandy and flavored with tuscan fruit.

you could also give them desencanization shots or a couple benadrils.(joking)
