

I have seen this age bias before, and if the hotel bars are not even
looking at you, might I suggest applying at a catering company? Pay is usually
$8-$15 per hour plus tips, and even more if you are in a larger market.
If this doesn't pan out, try making your own business card as a freelancer.
Throw an ad in the local paper, try making a joint venture with a wedding
planner, put up a booth at a wedding expo advertising your services, and go
from there. I have my own bartender staffing copmany, now in its 2nd year, and
that is how I got exposure. A few clients will pay the bills and then some!
