I had the same type of experience in a school in Atlanta some years back. They
stress memorization and speed. We had to copy all the drink recipes over until
I thought my eyes would cross. We never received instruction on some things I
thought might be important.... like customer service and behind the bar
details. We sure learned how to mix colored water in the bottles and clean up
though!!! Same with job referrals. I never used my education and have just
decided now to try again. One can get the same indepth knowledge from this
website as you do in school and my sincere compliments to the site owner on
the set up and the information it contains. I believe the rest would be
motivation in looking for a job and integrety/sincerity in the interview.
Would like to know what others have experienced.
