yes Bacardi man of course you bring in a resume how else are they going to
know any of your past experences.
and like it has been said before from the other guys the only way you are
going to get on that bar without serving first is if you have a buddy that
works at the bar and is hookin ya up with it.
It urks me when i always hear some new guy finishing bar school and thinks
they know everything they need to know about the bar and that they think that
they dont have to do any of the "small jobs" that soo many of us have done.
you cant just jump into the deep end and expect to make good money, you got to
get your feet wet by doing the serving bit for about a year and a half or so
just so they managers know that your not just some punk kid that is going to
leave the place in a month or two.
also a big thing is that when your a bartender it is 100 times easier to skim
from the company then being a server, you have to gain their trust before you
can even think about movin up.
you said something about you starting up your own business...well would you
ever hire some kid that doesnt bring in a resume for a job as your accountant
for your company... if your answer is a yes then your business will clearly
fail.
well you may or may not like what i had to say either way thats my opinion
