THANK YOU!!! I bit my tongue on this one, I speak my mind often enough that
every now and then I actually follow my mom's advice about having nothing nice
to say, say nothing at all. I knew that someone would comment on this
eventually; it is kind of annoying to read the name and expect Drambuie and
then find it mentioned no where.
I'm not opposed to people making up clever recipes-- this sort of creativiy
has brought us ALL the drinks we have come to know and love.
Perhaps start by renaming to a "deadly screwdriver" (or something like that,
my apologies if this name is already used), and then substitue vodka for the
Everclear.
You've been getting ragged on for suggesting a drink that can't be served in
bars, but there ARE drinks on this site that can't be served.... there is a
fairly diverse crowd that frequents this site, the most outspoken (and largest
on number I should assume) being the bartenders. Those who mix drinks at home,
or in the dorms, aren't regulated in all the different ways that bartenders
are; often they drink strong, ok tasting drinks that mask the flavor of the
alcohol are "created." Don't be too hard on us poor kids :) often a few
pointer will do, perhaps your guidance will inspire others the way it has
inspired me to learn, practice, and share the art of Mixology. Cheers
