I have a recipe for Wop-a-tullie punch, sounds close enough...
Mix one part fruit cocktail and one part sugar in a large plastic bowl. Fill
the bowl with rum and cover all with one inch of rum. Keep this mixture
tightly cover in the fridge to marinade, for up to 6 monthes. Check
occasionally and add more rum as needed. When you are ready, drain juice from
bowl and add champagne, garnish with an ice ring. I'm told the fruit works
well for cakes. Never tried this one but I saved the recipe because I sounds
rather intresting, let me know what you think so I'll know if I should dare
try it! Enjoy
