I'm curious to see how the business is going across the country. Writing to you from Northern Wisconsin, where we greatly depend on our summer tourism season to survive, we are experiencing a fairly poor season. Numerous idea's have crossed my mind as too why this is happening and came up with just a few ideas: 1. My area (which used to be nothing but resorts) has become a weekend get-a-way for the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Many of the resorts that used to be in the area have been condo'ed off and are now private homes. People are staying in their cottages and entertaining their guests there, hence not goign out to drink. 2. With the stricter laws on Drinking and Driving (Wisconsin just went down to .08), People are a bit sceptical to go out and risk driving. 3. The age and style of people have changed... They are not drinking as much. I really don't think that gas prices are having a very large effect. Owning a resort, i've noticed that our customers on that end are not shying away from vacationing. Let me know what you guys think! www.4seasonsresort.net
