Hi,
I went yesterday to a job interview for a barback position. But when the guy
interview me, he said that it was a barback/cook position and hired me. I am
supposed to do a training shift tomorrow morning/afternoon to see if I like it
(since I never have been a cook or a barback before).
I wanted to know if it is common to have those two jobs combined? Should I
push for more barback duties after my training? (I did tell the manager that
hired me that my goal was to become a bartender)
The place is a busy bar and grill style place (the menu is pretty small and
basic...pizza, salads, sandwiches, and "beer food") and they are known for
their wide variety in imported beers.
Thanks for any insight,
Jacqueline
