Most of us (bartenders) like to think that we are professional, so why not use
your inexperience of ordering drinks to your advantage, when you walk into the
and sit down at the bar, browse the menu (if they have one) for a few moments,
then as the bartender approaches you say to him 'I'm not very clued up on all
these drinks and usually drink beer, could you possibly recommend something I
might like?'

The bartender migh then ask you what kind of drink you are looking for,
something sweet, sour, fruity etc. make your decision and let the bartender
use his knowledge to rustle you up something you may like!

This way you are exploring different drinks and learning what you like and
dont like at the same time, it can be fun not only for you but its also an
extra challenge for the bartender too!!!

Cheers

Russ
