Being down in Panama for about six months, I can tell you that the window of
opportunity to cash in on "cheap" property in any decent part of Costa Rica is
over. They've been touting Panama as the next Costa Rica for about two years
now, if that tells you anything, and Panama isn't cheap. Property prices in
both places have skyrocketed over the last few years, with Costa Rica
definitely way out in front.
And being a foreigner trying to find work is next to impossible - even in this
industry. Central America is a very poor part of the world, and they don't
really like foreigners taking jobs when there's loads of people that are
barely getting by.
