There are various ways of layering shots, you have one of them right here 
using the spoon, some other variations are by using things that are found 
around the bar like stemmed cherries, stirrers etc.

I tend to use two techniques, the first is to use the 285 pourers on the 
bottle and tilt the shot  glass at an angle and pour down the side of the 
glass, works quite well with a two or three layered shot!

The other is to use a 'bar float' which is a little float like object that 
sits on top of the previous layer and you pour on top of it and that separates 
the layers perfectly, I mainly use this as an conversational piece because 
most of my customers have never seen anything like it and it really gets their 
attention!  you will find these in the barstore link through this site, a 
useful toll to own!
