I find it facinating that there are bartendingschools in virtually every
city, and yet virtually everybody that posts any sort of opinion about B.S.
graduates, indicates that they are rarely well prepared for the job.
I can only assume, that the bartendingschools are aware that the "industry"
has such a low opinion of their services, which would indicate that somebody,
somewhere, would have taking this critisizm to heart, and worked up a program
that actually trains their students in the skills that restaurants and bar
managers are looking for.
I know if I wanted to be a bartender at a good bar, and thought going to
school was the "right" thing to do, only to find out upon graduation that I
was actually hurting my chances at getting a good job, well, this would
probably piss me off.
Are there anybartendingschools that produce appropriately trained
bartenders? If not, why not?
