I HIGHLY recommend getting some Orgeat (or Almond Syrup). Orgeat can sometimes 
be difficult to locate, but Almond syrup should be available at almost any 
place that sells coffee syrups. Here in Seattle I can get it at almost any 
grocery store. Often even in smaller/cheaper bottles.

Yes. This is a strong drink. When I normally go out drinking, I usually follow 
a self-imposed limit of 3 drinks. When I have Mai Tai's at Chopsticks, I 
never have more than two.

The ounce of dark rum should be considered "optional". If you want to better 
control the amount of alcohol in the drink you can easily leave it out. In 
fact at the Mai Tai tasting that I mentioned in a previous post, several folks 
felt they preferred theirs without the added dark rum. You can also just add a 
"splash" on the top of the drink instead of a full ounce.
