Yep, sounds like a plan to me. I like your attitude of being willing to work 
your way up, which seems to be rare - many people would balk at starting out 
as a barback. You may even want to consider starting out as a server, 
something you more than likely could start doing even before you go to 
bartending school. Bartending is much more complicated than just making and 
serving drinks, it's one of the more challenging positions in the 
restaraunt/bar business and there's a lot to learn, including POS systems, 
policies, responsible service, basic terminology, money handling, guest 
relations, etc - and much of this you won't learn in bartending school.
