Books that are still in print, would be "Esquire Drinks" by David Wondrich,
"The Joy of Mixology" by Gary Regan, and "The Ultimate A to Z Bar Guide" by
Sharon Tyler Herbst & Ron Herbst.
For out of print books on cocktails: "The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks" by David
Embury, "Cocktail: The Drinks Bible for the 21st Century" by Paul Harrington
and Laura Moorehead.
